I. Job Summary:
The AssistantTechnical Manager supports and reportsto the Technical Manager in managing cybersecurity operations, including butnot limited to SOC, Red Team, and GRC functions. The role involves coordinatingincident response, following on the operational tasks, supporting risk andcompliance efforts, and ensuring effective follow-up with clients.
II. Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Operational Support &Coordination
- Monitor daily cybersecurity operations to ensure prompt and efficient threat detection and response.
- Assist in project management, maintenance, and execution of Projects.
- Collaborate with the technical team to investigate escalations, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely responses
2. Technical Integration & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure the integration of the technical initiatives across the services, including but not limited to threat intelligence, incident response, Brand protection, GRC, and VAPT.
- Support and collaborate with the technical team on projects simulations, results, and the integration of those findings into operational processes.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the security posture across the organization and customers.
- Provide technical support in ensuring compliance with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and assist with audits as needed.
3. Communication & Reporting
- 1st Review of the draft regular reports project for theTechnical Manager final approval.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration by organizing meetings across technical functions, sharing security practices, and ensuring follow-up on initiatives.
- Represent the technical team in client meetings when needed.
4. Team Support & Development
- Support onboarding and ongoing training of junior interns or new joiners in the technical team.
- transfer knowledge and continuous learning and collaboration within the technical team.
- Assist in tools PoC’s correlating it to technical team capabilities.
5. Project and Process Management
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies across security projects.
- Ensure documentation for processes, configurations, and controls is up to date and accessible for both internal and external engagements.
III. Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Industry certifications such as CEH, ECSA, or CISA are preferred; pursuing CISSP or CISM is a plus.
- 4–6 years of experience incybersecurity with at least 2 years in a SOC environment or similar operationalsecurity role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized with project coordination skills.
